Shallow ACDs and ICL Implants

Background
A 32-year-old female patient living in Europe came to my practice while visiting Indonesia on holiday seeking possibilities for vision correction surgery after having worn glasses and contacts for 20+ years. She presented with shallow ACDs of 2.54 mm and 2.61mm and corneal thickness <500 µm and was aware they had been previously told by other ophthalmologists that due to these measures, she was not a candidate for either LASIK or ICLs.
Approach
I utilized UBM AI + ICLguru on both eyes to see if well-fitting lenses were recommended.
ICL Sizing
The ICLguru report showed that 12.1 mm would yield good results for vault and angle in both eyes and that lens size was selected.
Results
1-month post-op results showed excellent agreement with predictive results. Patient was extremely happy, thanking ICL and me for “this new pair of 4K eyes!”
